Use of the Services

Our products and services are only available within the Indonesia and to Indonesian residents. No individual under the age of seventeen (17) may use the services, provide any personal information to Generation 1.0, or otherwise submit personal information through the Services. If you are younger than 17, you can't use Generation 1.0.

Use of the Apps

When you download and use the App, Generation 1.0 will have access to your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and when you use the App, it will connect via your data connection. It is really important that the email address associated with your Generation 1.0 account is accurate and up-to-date. If you ever forget pin number, a working email address is often the way to recover the account.

You agree not to use the App in any unlawful manner, for any unlawful purpose, in any manner inconsistent with these Terms & Conditions, or act fraudulenty or maliciously (e.g. by hacking into or inserting malicious code or harmful data into the App or any connected operating system).

We may terminate your use of Generation 1.0's

services including this App if you use it for any illegal purpose or commit a material or persistent breach of these tems and conditions.

Privacy

You agree that by using the Services you consent to the collection, use, and sharing the information you give to the App.

If you register your details with us on our site, we will keep them for the use of information, so we can keep you update with our information about the App. We’ll never pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes.

Security

By submitting your personal information, you agree to every storing and processing in this App. We will ensure all the information you provide is store securely on our database. One thing to remember is that connection of the internet is not completely secure. But once your information is received, we are using best-in-class security and we always do our best to improve it and protect your security for this App.

You're responsible for keeping your device safe, and you must tell us immediately if they're lost or stolen, or you think someone may have accessed or tried to use your account(s). If you want to change your cashtag, you can do so at any time in setting. Don't reveal private information in response to an email, text, letter or phone call unless you are certain that the request is from someone you are confident is genuine.

Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Indonesia and if there's any disagreement about them, or between you and Generation 1.0 about your account(s), both party are agree that this will be dealt by the Courts of Indonesian government.

    • What is Generation 1.0?

      Generation 1.0 is a way to shape the best possible experience for you to save and spend money. And we do believe, the future of your financial management is here on your mobile.

      In Generation 1.0, you can:

      • Do transfer to your friends, even without knowing their account details. Simply use their phone number / emial address.
      • Split the bill between you and your friends, for example dinner bill.
      • Pay your bills in 3 simple steps.
      • Manage your cards in one place.
    • Is Generation 1.0 safe?

      Generation 1.0 is secured by BTPN, which is registered and monitored by OJK. Your savings are guaranteed by the government (LPS).

    • Who can use Generation 1.0?

      Indonesian citizen who already have the ID card.

    • Does Generation 1.0 have branch offices? Do i need to go there to open my account?

      Generation 1.0 does have branch offices, which we called it as 'Service Points', and you can find the closest service point at the 'Finder' menu. Currently, the service point is located at BTPN tower in Mega Kuningan. However, the service point is not the place for you to open a Generation 1.0 account, as you can open it anywhere using Generation 1.0 app at your smartphone.

    • Does Generation 1.0 have ATMs?

      Generation 1.0 doesn't have any ATM yet. For now, you can withdraw money from any bank without any additional fees in the first 50 transactions each month. We'll be in touch when our ATM is ready.

    • What bank's ATM can i use to withdraw the money from my Generation 1.0 account?

      Yes you can withdraw your money at other bank's ATM using the ATM Bersama/Prima/Visa network, but there will be a withdrawal fee.

    • Does Generation 1.0 have a Call Center?

      Yes, Generation 1.0 has a Call Center. You can reach us at 1500-365

    • Do I need to go to Generation 1.0 branch to open an account?

      No, you don't!

    • How long is the registration process for Generation 1.0?

      If you have already prepared your KTP, NPWP, and your signature on paper, the registration process will take less than 10 minutes.

    • During the registration, I need to input password and mobile PIN. What is the difference between those two?

      The username and password are needed to log in and to verify your account, while the mobile PIN is to access your Generation 1.0 account on your device.

    • Can I change the name on my m-Card during the registration?

      No, you can't, but we have some suggestion for your name on the m-Card.

    • What is Cashtag?

      Cashtag represent your Generation 1.0 account number. With cashtag, you don’t need to ask your friend's Generation 1.0's account number. Just ask his cashtag as it already contains his Generation 1.0 profile and account number.

    • Why do I need to take a selfie with my KTP during the Generation 1.0 registration?

      Selfie is needed to protect your identity from misuse by other people, as you won't required to go to the bank during account registration.

    • I don't have the NPWP, can I still open a Generation 1.0 account?

      You can open a Generation 1.0 account without your NPWP during the registration, but you still need to add your NPWP to your account later with the maximum of 14 days. NPWP is one of the requirements from Bank Indonesia for Indonesian citizen to open a bank account.

    • Can I use my Generation 1.0 account after I finished the registration process on the app?

      After the registration, your Generation 1.0 account is not fully-active yet, as we still need to verify your data. However, these are the activities that can be done during this period:

      • Receiving money through transfer-in
      • Edit your profile
      • Add friend at bank contact

    • Can I change my profile after I finished the registration?

      Yes, you can change your profile, such as the current address, password, phone number, email, etc. However, if you change your address or KTP/NPWP number, then you need to reupload your KTP and NPWP.

    • As I opened my Generation 1.0 account using my smartphone, where can I get my Debit Card?

      Within 2 hours after you complete the registration process, you will be contacted by Generation 1.0 crew to verify your details and schedule your card delivery.

    • How do I activate my card?

      You can activate your card through Generation 1.0 app. On the Cards menu, you will see the card list, and there will be an 'activate' button beside the card that you want to activate. When you click the 'Activate' button, you will be asked to input the 3 digit CVV security code to activate. Then, please create your card PIN.

    • What is the difference between mobile PIN and card PIN? Can they be the same?

      The mobile PIN is used when you want to access Generation 1.0 account using your device, while the card PIN is when you want to use your card at the ATM or EDC. You can have the same PIN for mobile and card, but it is advisable for you to have different PIN for mobile and card.

    • I have a smartphone and an iPad. Can I login to my Generation 1.0 account from both devices?

      You can link 3 devices to your Generation 1.0 account. Each devices will have its own mobile PIN. The mobile PIN for each devices can be varied or same. You can only sign in to your Generation 1.0 account using only 1 device at a time.

    • How to register other devices to my Generation 1.0 account?

      After you download the app on your new device, log in with your Generation 1.0 email and password. You will then get a verification code by SMS. After this, you can input your PIN number for this device.

    • I lost my smartphone that has been linked to my Generation 1.0 account. What should I do?

      You can unlink that device from the Generation 1.0' web app that you can access through website gen.one, open Profile & Settings > Settings > Device menu.

    • I suddenly forgot my password. What should I do?

      If you forgot your password, you can click 'RESET' on the login page, enter your email and answer the security questions. Then we'll send the temporary password to your email. You will then need to answer your 'Security Questions'. However, if you forgot the answer of the security questions, please reach us through our Call Center, so we can help you.

    • I forgot my mobile PIN. What should I do?

      The are 2 options:

      • Unlink the device from web app
      • Enter incorrect PIN when prompt, an unlink device notification will pop up.
      After you unlinked the device, you can register the device again.

    • Why do I need to change my password every 3 months?

      To keep you secure, we suggested that you change your password every 3 months.

    • What are the differences between the m-Card and e-Card?

    • What is e-card? Why I got an e-card besides my main card?

      E-card is a virtual card from Generation 1.0, that you get automatically after you finish the registration. The e-card is for your online transaction. It is safer to use the e-card to make a payment at the online shop

    • What can I do with my cards?

      You are in control with all of your cards. You can set the limit, top up the balance and block card. The limit setting is for the single transactions on POS (Point of Sales) or the daily maximum amount for ATM withdrawal.

    • What should I do if I lost my m-Card?

      You can block the card temporarily through your Generation 1.0 app, and you can unblock the card when you have found the card. You can also cancel the card permanently, if you felt that you really lost the card. You will get a replacement card once you have cancelled it permanently.

    • Is there a replacement fee if I lost my card?

      No there will be no replacement fee for every lost card, just don't miss it frequently.

    • What is the interest rate of the savings?

      The Flexible Savings and Goal Savings will have a 5% interest rate, but if you leave it on your Active Balance you'll only got 1% interest rate.

    • How many Goal Savings can i make?

      There is no limitation on how many Goal Savings accounts you can create. You can create as many as you like.

    • How many Flexible Savingsaccounts can I have?

      You can only have one Flexible Savings account

    • How long is the maximum period for Goal Savings?

      The maximum period for Goal Savings is 3 years.

    • Can I change the daily savings on the Goal Savings into the monthly savings?

      Unfortunately you can't change it into monthly savings.

    • I want to top up my Flexible Savings or Goal Savings. Can I transfer the money from other bank directly to my savings accoung?

      No, you can't. You can only top up the savings account (Flexible Savings and Goal Savings) from your main account.

    • Can I terminate my Goal Savings account, even though it has not completed yet?

      Yes, you can terminate the Goal Savings account anytime, but won't you love if you can achieve your dream, and let the Goal Savings completed?

    • My Goal Savings is already completed, but why I can't see the money in my account yet?

      After you have reached your goal, you need to close the Goal Savings account, so the money can be transferred to your Generation 1.0 account. However, if you still don't need the money, you can keep the money on the Goal Savings account as it has a higher interest rate than your Generation 1.0 account.

    • What can I do with Send It?

      In Send It, you could transfer money to other Generation 1.0 accounts. If the recipient doesn't have Generation 1.0 accounts, you can still transfer the money using their email or phone number. On the email or SMS, there will be a URL that can direct the person to the Collection Site page, where they can choose their bank account to receive the money. However, the URL will only be active up to 3 days. If there's not actions from the recipient, the money will be returned to your Generation 1.0 account. Moreover, in Send It, you could pay your bills or buy a top up voucher for your phones.

    • Is there a transfer fees when sending money?

      You will be charged a transfer fee when you send money. However, the transfer fee will be refunded to your account, if the recipient is a Generation 1.0 or BTPN account.

    • I have a Jenius account, but my friend transferred the money to my other phone number that is not registered to my Jenius account. Can I still receive the money using my Jenius account?

      Yes, you still can receive the money in your Jenius account. The URL on the SMS or email will direct you to the Collection Site, where you can choose your bank account, including your Jenius account, to receive the money

    • I made a mistake on my transfer. Can I cancel the transfer process?

      Unfortunately, you can't cancel the transfer process that has been done.

    • HOW TO USE SEND IT

      • Choose the recipient from the phone book, and input the amount to be transferred.
      • Generation 1.0 will then send a notification by SMS or email to your friend
      • The SMS or email contains a collection site link and a secure code
      • Enter your email/phone number of the source on the collection site, then input the secure code provided in the SMS/email choose which bank he wants to receive the money, including his Generation 1.0 account, if he has one
      • Choose which bank he wants to receive the money, including his Generation 1.0 account, if he has one
      • Voila! The money has been sent.
      However, you can also transfer the money directly if your friend has a Generation 1.0 account. You can choose his cashtag ID as the recipient.

    • What is Split Bill?

      Split Bill is a Generation 1.0 feature to help you split the bill fairly among your friends. Generation 1.0 will send the bill to your friend, including your bank detail, so your friend can use that information to transfer their part of the bill. But if you friend use Generation 1.0s, they only need to accept the request.

    • I want to use the Split Bill feature, but I didn’t use my Generation 1.0 debit card to do the transaction. Can I still use it?

      Yes, you still can use it. First you need to select the persons at the bank contact, then you can input the bill manually. Generation 1.0 will split the bill evenly at first, and you can adjust it later.

    • Why I could not select my friend that doesn't have Generation 1.0 account for Bill Split?

      For the time being, you could only use Split Bill with people who has Generation 1.0 account. However, if your friends don't have the Generation 1.0 account, you can still choose them using their phone number or email address.

    • HOW TO SPLIT BILL

      All you need to do is:

      • Choose the transaction details from the transaction history, then choose split bill
      • Choose your friends from the contact list or input their number/email/cashtag manually. Generation 1.0 will divide the bill equally
      • You can modify the amount entitled to a friend if he ate more than the others
      • Generation 1.0 will send the notification to your friends automatically.

      If you don’t use Generation 1.0 debit card to pay the transaction, you still can use the Split Bill. This is how:
      • Choose your friends from the contact list
      • Input the amount and Generation 1.0 will split the bill equally
      • You can modify the amount of your friends
      • Generation 1.0 will send the notification to your friends automatically.
    • Where can I check Generation 1.0 total balance?

      You can check your total balance at:

      • Total balance widget
      • Click the menu button, and the total balance of your Generation 1.0 account is stated below your name
      • at the In and Out menu.

    • I need my Generation 1.0 bank statement. Where can I get it?

      You can get the e-statement at the Profile Setting. In Profile Page, there will be a list of e-statement of your Generation 1.0 account, and you can save as PDF or send it to your email address.

    • My camera is not working, so I can't scan the QR code. What should I do?

      There is another option to verify it manually, which can be seen below the QR code. When you choose this option, you will get a code that you need to input on your Generation 1.0 app. Generation 1.0 then will give you another code that you need to input it on the web app to finish the transaction.

    • I was asked to scan a QR code and input a secure code when doing a transaction on the web app. Where can I get it?

      You can get the secure code by scanning the QR code from the 'Mobile Token' menu on the Generation 1.0 app. Then there will be a pop up code, where you need to input it on the web app, to finish the transaction. Mobile Token is needed if you are doing any transactions (including updating your profile or changing the transaction limit), through the web app.
